Fall wedding season is finally winding down. We just need to make it through October. After that, bring on engagement season and the holidays. I am not ready for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Both of those holidays are right around the corner. Only 86 days to Christmas. We’re in the single digit countdown here. Aye! With engagement season right around the corner, engagement parties and bridal showers are not far behind. The Blushing Grapefruit Rosé Cocktail is perfect to celebrate the new bride! It’s a little sweet, tangy and sparkly.
The Ingredients
For this beverage, you will need plain vodka, regular bitters, fresh grapefruit juice, simple syrup and rosé. I tried this with grapefruit vodka in lieu of grapefruit juice, but it tasted too fake-flavored. Fresh grapefruit juice is the way to go for this one. I used Three Olives vodka and Korbel Sweet Rosé.
The Execution
This Blushing Grapefruit Rosé Cocktail is fairly simple. In a shaker, combine the grapefruit juice, bitters, simple syrup and vodka. Add a few ice cubes and shake to chill. Divide into champagne glasses until they are 1/3 full. Top with rosé and serve! Garnish with a fresh wedge of grapefruit or a twist of grapefruit rind.
What is your favorite pink cocktail? Do you have other grapefruit concoctions you enjoy? Please share in the comments! I would love to try one.
